Internship Description

The World Trade Center Atlanta is a not-for-profit organization seeking highly self-directed student interns for the fall, spring, or summer. Positions range from Marketing/Communications to Project Management/Research, among others. Internships are focused within a respective scope of work, but duties may vary to encompass all WTC Atlanta daily needs. WTC Atlanta interns are expected to work both individually and as a team depending upon the project.

A WTC Atlanta Internship offers a great opportunity to observe and engage in interactions and decision-making among community and business leaders, provide input during strategic planning sessions, learn about global trade and investment, network with regional business leaders and engage in professional development.

Desired Skills:

Candidates must be highly self-directed and possess effectual critical thinking skills. Strong communications skills including high levels of both written and spoken English language required. Students must be organized and proficient at MailChimp, InDesign, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and relevant social media (Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter etc.). They must also be proactive, independent, manage multiple responsibilities and deadlines.

Internship Dates and Hours

The WTC Atlanta interns work flexible hours, but many typically undertake a minimum of 10 and maximum of 30 hours per week.

While internships are NON-PAID, some stipends may be available depending upon budget. Academic course credit is possible and must be coordinated with the student’s university department.
